The artist rents 2 snack machines, a coin machine, and a beverage vending machines. On the day of the opening the artist fills one snack machine with cheese cubes, crackers, grapes, small packaged hummus, cookies, wine -- or the standard opening fare in their community. The artist fills one machine with personal objects (I would do my underwear drawer something banal in actual provocative in nature). The artist also fills the coke machine with mini wines, beers and coke. The machines are arranged in the middle of the room occupying the space usual occupied by the viewers (think about the cords visually). Mirrors are on outer walls placed so that viewers may reflect on their encounter with the machines. All money from machines is split with gallery, price on piece was price spent on each machine.
The audience participates. Documentation is allowed but that is the show.
