"Hello Ms. Sanders –

Your request has been forwarded to me; I believe we’ve spoken about this type of scenario before, if my memory serves me correctly?

A court reporter’s fee would be $7 pp and $250 for per diem. Reporters have to be in a somewhat controlled environment, to easily hear and identify who is speaking, and they can only take down one person speaking at a time. They can not take general conversations of a group of people walking about. We’re unfamiliar with your type of scenario, so I’m just making sure to explain the necessary parameters.

If it’s sustained talking, a reporter can get about 45 pages in an hour or more. You mentioned you’d want them for a four-hour block so a good faith estimate would be about $1500 for that time period in total, depending on how fast and how much they talked. The transcript would take ten business days to complete. If you request it sooner, there are expedited fees assessed to the page rates.

Please let me know if I may answer any further questions for you,

Regards,

Corri
